Weekend in Bournemouth

We had a lovely weekend in Bournemouth. And here are som few pictures. Its a really nice little town with lovely beaches and nice things to see, perfect to take the kids to. They had a wonderful time!

One more child

Finally I got y first child to childmind! I’m really pleased; it’s a beautiful girl 1,5years old. And she seems to be really happy and very active! She will start by 1 of June so I got 2weeks of freedom left. XD

We have had some computer problems, the laptop broke down completely so we installed a computer in the bedroom, but its old and it’s really slow and it hangs, so annoying!

Blind Date

Today I had a blind date, grrrr….

Somebody started talking to me online and asked if I was from Chile, quite soon we realized we are neighbours (she lives above my apartment) and that we are both born in Chile and have spent most of our lives in Sweden! So funny!
So we decided that we just have to meet up!

We had a nice little chat and she had the cutest baby…aaaaaaaah..
Makes you almost want another one… Almost!

spring cleaning again...

I did it again, I spring cleaned the house one more time, and I have a feeling it’s not the last in the nearest future!
I now have one more ikea bag of clothes and shoes for charity, and it feels great to have more space at home!
Now it’s just my arm that is killing me from cleaning so many windows, including the ones from the balcony…!

After all that hard work I did some bbq and spent the rest of the day in my neighbours apartment, nice!

Wimbledon Park

Yesterday we went to Wimbledon Park. It takes about 15minutes to walk to from home, and it’s just a fantastic park.
They have 20 tennis courts (of course this is Wimbledon), golf, 2 play areas, café, watersports centre, paddling pool, bowling green, football pitches, athletics tracks, gardens, lakes and a huge pond were there are ducks, gooses and swans, and the kids just love to feed them!
I didn’t take enough pictures, but as summer is closing in we will spend more and more time there and then I will defiantly post more pictures!

After that we went to the neighbour’s house for a coffee, she has two adorable children, a boy and a girl that attends the same school as mine dose. She is just a fantastic mother with energy I wish I had!

Today on the other hand the weather is bad so we will say indoors and do some crafts probably…

Shopping!

My sweetie is back from Germany and brought this perfume with him, it’s not something I would have picket up for my self but I really like it! And I have not been taking it easy with it…

Then we went shopping and I got this M&S jacket that is just what I need at the moment, with all school runs I need something practical that is water resistant. Patricia also got a new jacket again, it wasn’t long since she got one but she is growing like mad and really needed a new one to her delight! Jerry also picked up a 3 pants and a new shirt. Its only poor Maxi that didn’t get anything but he was just as happy, bless him...
We also past The Body Shop and finished the day at Nando’s! Yum…

We had a lovely summery day today, with a couple of showers, but hey this is England… ;)
We just had a calm Saturday with a long walk and a play in the park…
Jerry is still in Germany and comes home on Monday, we really miss him now…

Spring is here!

These passed days have been just like heaven! The weather is nice and we are having around 15C+ at least!!!
So we have been doing some balcony “gardening” as you can see. We planted strawberries, wild strawberries, tomatoes, herbs, and bell peppers. It has been really fun, and the kids are so exited!

Now Jerry is in Germany, so I’m the only one in charge of the house for now! It’s a bit lonely but much more stress free.

Kids miss him to bits already...

Vaccination

My sweetheart is sleeping on the sofa. He got his Swine flu vaccine yesterday and at first he was fine, but in the night he got fever and still has.

I gave him medicine but he is just so tired now…
Hate to see them sick…

Ikea visit

Yesterday we went to Ikea, bought a square grill pan, Billy bookshelf for the kid’s room and some other bits and pieces…
And of course we had a nice plate of Swedish meatballs, potato, cream souse and lovely lingonberry jam! Patricia had dill-cured salmon and new potatoes, and maxi had meatballs and fries...
As we left we passed the Swedish shop, but because they were renovating the shop we couldent buy many things, we just got marabou daim, kanelsnackor and a beer.

Then we went home to assemble the bookshelf, to our horror the back panel was broken! We discovered it after we almost finished, so we just left it like that. I’m going to call and see if we can get a new one later…

Finally it feels like we are getting some order in the children’s room. So I’m very pleased with that, now its just some wall shelf and minor things left to buy…
(Wish I could throw away the Barbie castle, it’s just in the way…)

The Table

It was a warm afternoon so the kids could finally enjoy playing with the new table in the balcony. Would love a big green garden but have to make the most with what we have…
Anyhow it was great fun, and it didn’t take long until there was a mix of wet sand literally everywhere, and I have to restrain my self from not going crazy (I don’t like when its messy) because its no use anyway. I have learnt that its better if they mess it up anyhow they want until they are finished and then clean up the mess…
But I realised how hard it is for me to smile and relax (without getting a heart attack) as they start dirtying everywhere…
Hmm, maybe I am a control freak.

Today’s efforts...

I have been such a good girl today! After dropping Patricia in school I came home, did some cleaning and made lunch. Then off to drop Maxi in school as usual but then walked all the way to Mitcham to buy a sand and water table for the balcony, I made it home to drop it off before I had to pick up the kids. Then we walked to Wimbledon Centre Court to buy the sand for the table, and dropped of a bag of children’s clothes to the charity shop for cancer research.
My legs are aching and my back is killing me, well I’m NOT used to walking that much. But I’m pleased with my efforts today. And kids are delighted with the table!

We had a yummy Chilli con Carne today and some veggies and hummus to wrap up the evening…

A hot break

After being stressed out and on edge about my relatives in Chile we have heard that almost everyone are ok, except material damage of course.

Today we had a really nice and warm day, which is exactly what I needed!
Went to buy a couple of things and then we enjoyed some ice cream in the balcony, then we decided to go and buy seeds, mini green house and start planting! And the kids had great fun! Of course I forgot to take pics of that, but will definitely keep our plants progress posted! We bought mini tomato and wild strawberry seeds!
Hope they survive (I don’t have green fingers!) kids would be so disappointed if it didn’t.

Horrible news this morning

Well nobody have missed the news in Chile today, and having family there is quite distressing. We have been trying to call the whole of today but with no result, all lines are disconnected. I have spent most of the day listening to CNN, and just getting more and more worried, since they live close to the epicentre.
Finely my cousin posted a message on facebook which was great to know she and her immediate family was fine, but she says that it was horrible. They woke up at 3.35am with a huge quake that seemed never to end, and later in the day at around 5pm there was one more really big quake. They were obviously really scared. And trough out the whole day there has been several smaller quakes!

I’m still waiting to hear from the rest of the family…

Mr Ischias is back!

I’m having a slipped disk in my back which is giving me problems now and then… And at the moment its now!
During the day it’s the nerve in the back to my feet that pains most. And at the night my back muscles that hurt most. I do hope it doesn’t get worst; don’t want to start taking strong medicine again…

Sorry for just complaining today, but not much fun has happened…

But tomorrow we are having family friends coming over from Manchester! They have been living in Sweden to, that’s were we got to know each other but they are from Nigeria originally.
They’ll just stay one day with their daughter, then travels to Sweden over the weekend, then stays for another day as they come back. They are really sweet people so I’m looking forward to that!

Shitty Weather

Today it’s just raining, so boring. Hate when it never stops!
This morning I took the kids to our GP. Patricia is having dry skin and a little eczema on her legs and needed to get a new prescription of the last cream she tried. That cream works miracles! So we got a huge bottle this time!

Because of the ice cold weather we popped in our local shop on the way back and bought double cream! I made some lovely hot cocoa with whipped cream for them.

Today, once again the house look shitious so I have to start cleaning and wash clothes… grrrrr it never ends...….

God morning!

This morning when I opened my eyes, I felt my body and head aching badly, so trebly tired. Then I saw two small faces smiling at me and giggling. And I felt complete. How would I ever want to change that to anything else?

Yesterday Jerry put up our new picture frame in the living room, we bought it in Manchester wile visiting our friends. And it was a pain in the ass to get it in the car, but well worth it… It dose look much smaller now on the wall but will have to do for now.


Today it’s raining, so boring! So we have to stay indoors like so many other days... and try to find something to do. Probably I will have to help Patricia with her homework and braid her hair which takes for ever, and clean, clean, clean like always..

Thank God it’s Friday.

It really feels great that the weekend is finally here!
The kids have been home from school the whole week, but with a bad case of stomach bug since last friday! But now we are all feeling much better and with Jerry (dad) at home for the weekend it will be much more enjoyable.

During our sickness period I used my time to create menus for the children I will care for (as a childminder), so I came up with 40 different dishes, with a good balance of fish, meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes from all around the world.
Now I just have to put them on to neat schedules for parents look at!

Today I washed a huge pile of clothes and did a little bit of cleaning, so not much to brag about… Yesterday on the other a hand we managed to go out to the local park and I made a lovely semolina pudding, I used to eat it when I was a child. It is nice with yam or homemade strawberry souse. And so simple to do, why haven’t I made it earlier??
